Absorbent. Jul 21, 2010
This towel has a different texture than a standard Terrycloth towel.
They are very absorbent,compared with other towels i have tried that were considered to be kitchen towels.
Nice size also...some kitchen towels are a bit small.

These towels are a good size, and they are very absorbant with a nice texture. I love the colors, and they compliment my kitchen well. It was money well spent, and will probably purchase more in the future.

These towels are really absorbent and work well for drying your hands. They are also thick enough to make great pot holders. I don't like them for drying dishes though. The set I got was black and white and even the one with just a little bit of black in it leaves black fibers all over the dishes. I also have a set of flour sack dish towels, and those never leave fibers on the dishes. I can't stand having the little fibers all over my dishes. If you are looking for something to dry your hands on and use as a pot holder these are great, but if you want to actually dry your dishes try something else.

I didn't realize that these towels were from China, but should have. I wish Amazon would post country of origin on the catalog page. My problem with these towels is that they fade and shrink. The directions state to wash in WARM water. How can one wash kitchen towels in warm water and expect them to be clean? Ever heard of grease in a kitchen? Tumble dry on low? I don't think so. It's no big deal, but I do expect kitchen stuff to be tough, not needing extra special care.
Update. Three months has gone by and the towels have faded to yucky colors even with special care. I changed my rating to one star.

These dish towels are really great. I got tired of buying the same old towels at Wal Mart, KMart, & Kohl's because they would shrink up after the first washing and then after several washing they would start to fray and unravel. But these dish towels from Amazon are wonderful. They are absorbent and they keep their shape after many times in the laundry. You can't beat the price either.
